The Modern Hotel of Montebelo Vista Alegre is a celebration historic tradition of one of the most internationally recognized Portuguese brands, Vista Alegre and its world-renowned crafts bringing a sophisticated touch to stately tables worldwide.
The hotel born from the desire to gather Vista Alegre’s heritage into one space, thereby integrating the brand’s industrial, cultural and technological achievements.

This new hotel, with 82 rooms, is located in the place of Vista Alegre, in Ílhavo, framed in the building of the porcelain factory, and is divided into two distinct areas: the hotel and the Palace.
The interior design is signed by Sam Baron and Isabel Abreu of Sam Baron and Co., while the architectural design was created by architects of the Grupo Visabeira.
The Palace, a secular building whose construction dates back to the end of the 17th century, maintains the original layout, with plaster ceilings and plaster and portraits and landscapes on the walls. It is in this historic building, which has undergone restoration and renovation work.
A beautiful highlight is the Chapel Suite, which gives access to the balcony of the Mor Chapel, and the Postigo Suite, which is developed on three levels and has visual contact with the Altar of the Chapel of Our Lady of Penha of France.
The connection to the contemporary building is made through a spiral metal staircase that connects the old building with the new one, where there are 72 rooms designed with an incredible selection of modern furniture and luxury porcelain details.
The modern hotel has a restaurant serving fine regional cuisine, two bars, and a wellness center, two swimming pool, where the guests are gifted with a unique experience and a true connection with a history lesson.
