They prove it once again with this penthouse designed for a couple and their three daughters. It is the second time that decorators work with this family. The premise was to conceive a premium interior design space that responded to the dazzling views of the city of Melbourne, with the Philip Bay port on the horizon. “The owners needed an opulent and elegant house but at the same time adapted to the daily use of the family,” says Miriam Fanning, director of Mim Design. A large modern hallway welcomes you at the entrance of the penthouse and leads to the dining area and the sublime indoor pool where you can see the panoramic views of Melbourne, giving the impression of floating in the sky. Accessible from the dining room, the kitchen has a five-meter marble island and an adjacent bar that is ideal for entertaining.
A gallery-like hallway leads to a lounge with a masculine touch in which there are a brass and marble bar, a play area and an area to enjoy cocktails. “In addition to maximizing views, one of the objectives was to create spaces to showcase works by Henson, Michael and Matthew Johnson and Melinda Harper,” says Miriam Fanning.
