Created by Celia Sawyer, the brief for the design project was masculine, with drama, but also glamorous. During all the design process, Celia Sawyer chose the materials herself, which almost all featured black marble with gold fleck throughout to give a unique and personalized look that the client really wanted.
“Lighting was very important and it really needed to ooze luxury and glamour, the chandeliers and wall lights were to be our “star” pieces… works of art in themselves. I also mirrored the ceiling above the piano area so that the chandelier would reflect into it creating pools of light and drama.”
The modern sideboard featured ins this luxury home had a very exclusive design and the client loved the way that the gold was used in its design. It was a perfect fit because even though it was unique it still kept with glamour theme.
The Lapiaz Sideboard originates from one of Boca do Lobo‘s iconic design pieces. Based on the same aesthetic that created a legacy, this contemporary design piece takes exceptional craftsmanship and design to a new realm. This modern furniture piece is finished in polished stainless steel that portrays a perfect mirror, with a poplar root wood veneer interior.
The top interior designer also imported a large full-sized real skeleton of an Arabian Horse, and Arabian gentleman and a Shahin bird of prey which were in 24k gold. These were on loan to the design studio from Stephen Cawston an upcoming artist who is causing a stir in the design world at the moment.
Inside all the modern apartment, Celia Sawyer used a lot of mirror and glass textures near and on walls, to reflect light and the landscape outside, and created pools of light to add drama and also daytime lighting to the contemporary interior design. In every little detailed of the composition on the project, more than her taste it’s able to get a taste of her own inspiring personality.
