It’s no longer a recent development: the once clearly defined boundary between art and design has grown less distinct over the past decade. Just over ten years ago, the Flemish duo Muller Van Severen began to develop and establish a distinctive stylistic language characterized by its seamless blending of creative domains. Commemorating this decade of groundbreaking innovations that have disrupted traditional interior design norms, Maison & Objet has designated Fien Muller and Hannes Van Severen as the “Designer(s) of the Year 2023.” This honour will be bestowed upon them during the upcoming event, scheduled from September 7 to 11. As part of their recognition, the Belgian pair will present a “cocoon exhibition”—an exclusive journey into their imaginative world.
