Where Did Paris Fashion Week 2026 Take Place?
Rather than being concentrated in a single venue, Paris Fashion Week 2026 unfolded throughout the city. Historic buildings, museums, palaces and contemporary spaces became temporary stages for the season’s collections.
Among the important locations were the Louvre, where Louis Vuitton presented its collection, and the Élysée Palace, which hosted a special moment celebrating Nicolas Ghesquière. The Musée des Arts Décoratifs also contributed to the cultural programme with Look, 40 Years of Fashion at the Museum.

The Major Fashion Houses
The programme brought together some of the most influential names in international fashion. Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Saint Laurent, Celine, Balenciaga, Loewe, Miu Miu, Valentino, Tom Ford, Dries Van Noten, Chloé, Hermès and Jean Paul Gaultier were among the major highlights of the season.
The edition was particularly significant for Chanel and Dior, where Matthieu Blazy and Jonathan Anderson continued developing their respective creative visions. The season also welcomed new creative directions at Courrèges and Carven, while several established houses returned to the official calendar.

Chanel: A New Chapter
One of the most anticipated moments of Paris Fashion Week 2026 was Chanel’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection by Matthieu Blazy. The designer continued exploring the house’s heritage through updated versions of recognisable Chanel codes, including tweed, rounded-shoulder jackets and fluid silhouettes.
The collection combined the maison’s historical identity with a more relaxed approach to contemporary dressing, reinforcing Blazy’s influence on the house after his first collection a year earlier.

Louis Vuitton and a Futuristic Paris
Louis Vuitton closed the official week with one of its most theatrical presentations. Nicolas Ghesquière combined lightweight, fluid clothing with a futuristic runway installation featuring a recreated cityscape and hovering concept cars.
The set, developed with production designer James Chinlund, imagined different possibilities for the cities of the future. The contrast between the lightness of the collection and the monumental setting became one of the defining visual moments of Paris Fashion Week 2026.

Saint Laurent’s Golden Spectacle
At Saint Laurent, Anthony Vaccarello marked his tenth year at the helm with a dramatic, gold-drenched presentation. The show generated considerable speculation about whether it could represent a farewell moment for the designer.
The finale featured Charlotte Gainsbourg, Vaccarello’s longtime friend and collaborator, adding a theatrical dimension to one of the most discussed shows of the week.

Who Was There?
As always, the front rows attracted an international audience of actors, musicians, models, designers and cultural figures. Zendaya, Emma Stone, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa, Pedro Pascal, Jennifer Lawrence and Rihanna were among the celebrities associated with the week’s major shows and events.
The presence of major cultural figures reinforced the connection between fashion, entertainment and contemporary culture that defines the Paris fashion calendar.

Beyond the Runway
Paris Fashion Week 2026 extended far beyond the catwalks. Exhibitions, installations and cultural programmes created a wider dialogue between fashion, photography, art and design.
The Musée des Arts Décoratifs presented Look, 40 Years of Fashion at the Museum, while the Maison Européenne de la Photographie hosted Penn & Fashion. Frieze and other cultural events also contributed to an exceptionally active Paris art and design calendar during the same period.
