The Hong Kong-based design studio AB Concept designed the interior for China’s first Rosewood Resort, which opened in Sanya’s Haitang Bay in August 2017. Situated on Hainan Island, the modern resort has been designed by Ed Ng and Terence Ngan, co-founders of AB Concept, and is inspired by the tranquility of the South China Sea.
The contemporary design concept built by AB Concept centers around the traditions of the local tribes in a unique expression to welcome and inspire all the Rosewood guests. Involving indoor and outdoor luxury spaces offers guests open views of the South China Sea, and raises guests to appreciate this tropical island. The luxury hotel‘s lush surroundings are crafted by the acclaimed and much-admired Bangkok-based PLA.
A living room-like space with plush seating, fully stocked bookshelves, and a tea bar offer guests a space to unwind and relax.
With an introduced fresh perspective of evoking the core essences of a cozy home and with an underlying premise threading throughout the expansive property of refined comfortability, the Rosewood Sanya designed by AB Concept maintains its signature “A Sense of Place” philosophy through the resort‘s unique interior design with modern furniture pieces.
Located in a seaside escape designed by Hong Kong-based firm AB Concept, the Rosewood Sanya offers some wonderful additional facilities, including a ballroom, meeting spaces with ocean views, and a private and luxury dining room. The dining establishments also offer a varied array of food choices and architectural styles. Rosewood Sanya is home to five restaurants and lounges, including The Fishmonger and the Chop House.
Through the resort’s exclusive design, guests experience aspects of wood, tribal totems and aquatic elements which generate a sophisticated and contemporary space full of craftsmanship masterpieces, celebrating the natural beauty of the surrounding environment.
All the harmonious and light-colored modern master bedrooms design allows exclusive guests to indulge in complete relaxation at Rosewood Sanya: all the stunning suites are more personable and have remarkable unique spaces.
According to Ed Ng, one of the co-founders of AB Concept: “Our goal was to create a place to connect modern city dwellers back to nature with organic shapes and details for an intimate and relaxing experience whereby guests can truly get away from it all.”
