The SIHH 2019 – The Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie which ran its course in Geneva last week. During 14th to 17th of January 2019, this year’s edition of SIHH 2019 gathered 18 of Switzerland’s finest watchmakers along with 17 independent names. With 35 ultra-luxurious exhibitors, including luxury brands like Cartier, Vacheron Constantin, and Hermès, this event offered to the all design-world some of the most technically advanced and expensive timepieces with exclusive design.
SIHH 2019 renowned splicing of age-old craftsmanship and forward-thinking technology brought forward a battle of supremacy. This edition of the Balencier Contemporain, at 39.6 mm, is Greubel Forsey’s smallest timepiece yet to fit the independent watchmaker’s exclusive oversized balance-wheel system.
New Marvelous Lines
Designed by Ini Archibong, the new Galop d’Hermès was one of the highlights for women at SIHH 2019. The light is reflected in the curves, warming the metal and suffusing the shapes with vibrancy. Through the domed sapphire crystal, this unique watch exalts the gentleness of the dial.
Writing the History
The Lange 1 by A. Lange & Söhne was one of the first unique watches made following the re-establishment of this brand manufactory. This timepiece is an extraordinary combination of tradition and innovation which makes it a prime example of Lange watchmaking artistry. Shades of Blue
In the Patrimony collection by Vacheron Constantin, we saw a striking majestic blue shade seep into its dials, from a classic hour-minute reference to its retrograde day-date model. The Genevan brand’s self-winding 40 mm Patrimony is a unique watch with 196 components of its Calibre 2460 Q6, including a 22-karat gold oscillating weight.
Swiss watchmaker and luxury brand Girard- Perregaux explored this new design trend in other ways. This expensive watch is a great example. Presenting an evolution of its predominant line, Laureato arrives in the watchmaking world’s first carbo glass material.

The new Dazzling Rendez-Vous Night & Day modern watch with an exclusive design is a truly breathtaking wonder of watchmaking and refinement. With a new griffe setting technique, this timepiece by Jaeger-LeCoultre expresses generosity and preciousness: the form of its case and floral numerals, its two rows of diamonds and mother-of-pearl dial enlightens its Night & Day function.
Vintage Details
The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition “Mojave Desert” by IWC is the first watch with a case made from sand-colored ceramic. This unique watch is a limited-edition timepiece and its sand-colored ceramic is inspired by the Mojave Desert, home to the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake. Besides this, the color perfectly matches the uniforms worn by Navy pilots and is the result of a combination of zirconium oxide with other metallic oxides.
Water Resistant
