Designed and built by the Chilean top architect based in South Africa Antonio Zaninovic, this luxury home situated in Cape Town would be the perfect shelter of the mythic James Bond.
Baptized as “The house of James Bond‘, this modern architecture project has with three floors excavated in the land and semi-hidden by the vegetation. However, the modern interior design was specially made by Philippe Van der Merwe, from the Tonic Design studio, who opted for a minimalist design concept. According to the top architect Antonio Zaninovic: “The owners, because of their lifestyle, needed large spaces, but building everything in just two heights would have been disproportionate and ostentatious in relation to the land they had bought in Fresnaye. Thus, the idea of digging up so that three of them were semi-hidden and incorporated into the garden by unevenness”. In this way, a cave effect was created that made its owners nickname it with the name of the secret agent.
Inside the luxury living room, Bassam Fellows armchairs with a unique design and Tonic Design coffee tables, modern furniture pieces that bring a classic side to this contemporary interior design project. On the wall, there is a painting by Norman Catherine.
