A New Chapter in the Wynn Legacy

The story of Wynn Al Marjan Island begins with a hospitality philosophy developed over decades.

From Las Vegas to Macau and Boston, Wynn Resorts has established a reputation for creating destinations where architecture, design, entertainment and service form part of one carefully considered experience.

In January 2022, Wynn Resorts joined forces with Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding to announce a new integrated resort in Ras Al Khaimah.

It would become Wynn’s first destination in the Middle East and North Africa, marking an important step in the brand’s international expansion.

Surrounded by the Arabian Gulf, Al Marjan Island offers an entirely different setting from Wynn’s established urban destinations. Here, the relationship between the sea, the landscape and the architecture becomes central to the experience.

The Creative Vision Behind

At the heart of Wynn Al Marjan Island is Wynn Design & Development, the company’s in-house team of architects, designers and creative specialists.

Led by President and Chief Creative Officer Todd-Avery Lenahan, the team is shaping a resort where the exterior architecture and interior environments are conceived as parts of a larger experience.

The most recognizable element is the 70-storey Resort Tower.

Designed in shimmering bronze and white-gold tones, the tower is intended to rise 352 metres above the sea, including its spire, creating a striking new presence on the Ras Al Khaimah skyline.

The design draws inspiration from the surrounding coastline, allowing light, views and the changing colours of the Arabian Gulf to influence the atmosphere.

The Art of the Guest Experience

Luxury hospitality is often remembered through small moments.

The feeling of entering a beautifully proportioned room. The comfort of a private retreat. The way carefully selected materials and lighting create an atmosphere that feels immediately welcoming.

At Wynn Al Marjan Island, these experiences are being considered throughout the resort’s planned accommodation.

Guestrooms and suites are designed around a residential sense of comfort, with warm palettes, layered textures and expansive views of the Arabian Gulf.

One of the project’s most distinctive concepts is Enclave, a boutique hotel experience positioned within the upper levels of the Resort Tower.

Conceived as a coastal mansion in the sky, Enclave introduces a quieter expression of luxury through sophisticated interiors, personalized service and exclusive amenities.

Its planned 313 suites and residences range from spacious one-bedroom accommodations to remarkable two-storey Royal Apartments.

For Wynn Al Marjan Island, Enclave demonstrates how privacy, generous proportions and carefully curated interiors can bring a more personal dimension to a large-scale resort.

It is an approach that resonates with the world of contemporary collectible design, where exceptional craftsmanship and expressive materials give interiors their individuality.

Where Design, Dining and Entertainment Meet

Beyond its accommodations, Wynn Al Marjan Island is being imagined as a destination for social experiences.

The resort plans to introduce 22 restaurants, bars and lounges, alongside a beach club, shopping, wellness facilities and live entertainment.

A restaurant can become an intimate, theatrical environment. A lounge can use lighting, furniture and decorative finishes to create a distinct personality. A beachfront setting calls for an entirely different rhythm.

Under Todd-Avery Lenahan’s creative direction, Wynn Design & Development has engaged leading design firms to develop individual dining environments.

Among the announced concepts is Delilah, bringing the glamour of the classic supper club into a contemporary resort setting.

The relationship between art, furniture and atmosphere is particularly interesting here.

As Wynn Al Marjan Island moves towards its anticipated opening, it invites us to imagine a future where architecture, craftsmanship and hospitality come together to create something worth travelling for.
