When the iconic architect and Pritzker Prize-winner, Zaha Hadid passed away she was designing a contemporary apartment for herself in Miami Beach. Recently this property was just sold for $5.75 million.

Located in Miami’s South Beach, Hadid’s design signature is evident throughout the three-bed, four-bath private residence. She purchased two separate units and then combined them into a huge corner unit space.
The southeast corner unit overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and boasts a large balcony to enjoy the views from, it was the last home of the architect
The interior design project features typical of Hadid’s style include an opening with curved corners between the dining and lounge areas. The entrance is highlighted with a three-dimensional metallic band that forms a circuit from floor to ceiling.
The modern apartment was designed with numerous furniture pieces that Hadid created during her career, like the Liquid Glacial glass tables with ripple patterns and fluorescent yellow tints.
She included the Zephyr sofas designed for Cassina can be seen in the living area and her Aria and Avia lights for Slamp in one of the bedrooms.
Hadid was a known fan of Miami and spent much of her time there in her later years, for both work and leisure purposes. Zaha Hadid who was known for such admirably designed buildings, like the Heydar Aliyev Center in Baku, added her unique style this space.
