“Boca do Lobo Portuguese brand inspires the most recent project of Ekaterina Lashmanova” Boca do Lobo always has been fascinated by the reinterpretation of the past through technology and contemporary practice. Because of this, each piece has a unique, timeless character, revealing an attention to the smallest details.
In fact, the philosophy of the brand is that: to combine the work of the best artisans, full of knowledge and experience, with contemporary design, which is a big challenge but also the secret of the success of the brand. The Wave Center Table is one of the pieces chosen to complete the luxurious project.
Wave is an original and a stylish coffee table for the modern living room as it is also an
unconventional center table for your sitting room. With great style and elegance, it creates an exclusive ambiance to your modern interiors. Developed by a Portuguese jewelry artisan, this piece is made of hand hammered copper with a black mirror top. The exuberant center table is made of wood and finished with manually hammered copper, finished with a curvilinear top made from a black mirror. The base is lacquered in black finished with high gloss varnish.

Supernova Chandelier was born from the cataclysmic explosion of a massive star. The instant of a bright starburst that was suspended into a fascinating lighting design. Supernovas can briefly outshine entire galaxies and radiate more energy than our
sun will in its entire lifetime. The suspended brass particles of Supernova Chandelier will
offer you a timeless, brightest and magnificent setting. Through meticulous foundry work, choosing some of the finest materials as gold plated brass, casted brass the passionate craftsman of Boca do Lobo build a resilient yet elegant lighting piece.
L’Chandelier is a dreamy, elegant and luxurious lighting piece, incomparable and impressive as the romantic Champs-Élysées avenue, frequently described “la plus belle avenue du monde” (“the world’s most beautiful avenue”). This luxurious symbol of Paris transformed into this beautiful handcrafted, polished Brass Chandelier. L’Chandelier’s marvelous dancing shape was realized through the antique technique (Repoussé) used widely with gold and silver for fine detailed work, during 3rd century BC. L’Chandelier offers a fine balance of warm sophistication and metal edginess.

Metamorphosis Series – Exclusive Interview
Metamorphosis Series has come to symbolize a new line of thought and design inspiration for Boca do Lobo.
How did you conceive such a bold design concept?
Metamorphosis Series is more than just a simple line of design. It has a special meaning that has been part of Boca do Lobo’s purpose and creative’s DNA – breaking creative boundaries and being capable of constantly making something better. It’s hard to define what creativity is, but we know for sure that is the creative act, that we become able to manipulate objects or symbols to produce an uncommon definition of art and giving origin to the most bizarre and unique pieces. As I said before “the creative process is something between your past experiences and the things you’ve been through, and your future with everything you can still experience and control”. We believe that the highest kind of creativity is surely that which shatters the clouds of custom, and extends the possibilities of thought and perception. This way, and inspired by a great novel of the 20th Century, written by a phenomenal thinker – Franz Kafka – Metamorphosis digs deep introspection, unknowingly looking for meaning or something to hang on to. This was the word which rung in conversation and thought and has come to symbolize a new line of thought, and design inspiration for Boca do Lobo. This was how Metamorphosis Series was created.
Metamorphosis Series puts aesthetic standards and the meaning of beauty to test, seeking at the same time to provoke a reaction. What kind of reaction are you trying to instigate?
Insects can be repulsive and can make people think of how different and unique life is by itself. That was the main purpose behind this line of design. By putting aesthetic standards and the meaning of beauty to test, the Metamorphosis series seeks to provoke a questioning within the evolutionary context. I am sure of one thing – emotional design and creating experiences is where we have to work on, and that’s where the main purpose of Metamorphosis lives. By creating a reaction, we are also creating this emotional experience and bringing the design concept back to life.

Pantone Fall 2017 Trends for Home Décor
The Pantone Colour Institute has released the Fall 2017 trends color report. Commonly, the Pantone colors, the fashion creations, and the product design work together and influence each other through a cyclical creative synergy.
The high-end fashion and the Pantone colors trends also play a big role in the creative process of Boca do Lobo, walking hand in hand with other arts and crafts. The upcoming season’s inspirations of the brand are a proof of that, presenting the versatility of the brand.
For this reason, inspired by the Pantone’s colors and by the luxury brand’s creations presented on catwalks around the world, Boca do Lobo developed 3 moody Fall mood boards: Spatial Grey, Exotic Lust, and Red Fever – a combination of sensual exoticism and new technologies. Spatial Grey – Crafting the future now
Be ready to fly high up to space with the futuristic Fall 2017 trend: Spatial Grey. Shining bright on the next season’s collections, the sterling silver, and the gray metallic finishes are daring to bring futurism closer than ever. The inspiration comes from one of the Pantone Fall Colour Trends’, the neutral gray and also the navy peony.
Boca do Lobo joins the trip to the moon and proves that the future is now – and handcrafted. Always with a foot in the past and another in the future, reinterpreting the cultural icons through the new technologies and contemporary design, Boca do Lobo fits the space age trend with an artful range of sleek silver pieces.
The Monochrome is built from four separate modules and features a unique shape. Made of fiberglass, this futuristic piece has a silver lacquer gradient finished with high gloss varnish coat. It expresses a space-age outlook though it’s distinct shape and silver tones.
Eden Side Table represents a part of the tree of knowledge and the tale of the birth of desire. It is fully made of nickel plated brass with a delicately engraved top exposing the heart of a tree.
Exotic Lust – Luxurious Metamorphosis
The Convex Metamorphosis Mirror is made from brass. Its concave shape is achieved through the manual hammering of a brass sheet. Its exterior ring is kept simple, treated with varnish coats, and polished to achieve reflection. The insects are also cast from brass and undergo a chemical treatment for the finish.
Diamond is a faceted sideboard. The interior is finished in gold leaf. Legs are manually carved lined with gold leaf. The sideboard is made from wood finished with a luxurious shade of translucent green emerald with high gloss varnish.
Red Fever – Interiors have never been so hot
The world of fashion was overwhelmed by an epidemic fever of red – thanks to Pantone Colour Trend – Flame Scarlet. This color is not just sexy and charming – it is provocative, strong, independent.
For this reason, fashion creators and interior designers are not afraid of using red in red. Boca do Lobo couldn’t be more inspired by this color, that has a lot to do with its ideology of teasing and provoking reactions through the strong design. Velvety red allied to the most contemporary design will result in a dramatic explosion of style.
The Royal table surface is finished in a pallisander wood veneer, with a patchwork collage. Its legs are finished in high gloss black lacquer finish.
The Nº11 is made from solid brass, with a high polish finish, protected with a varnish coat. It features a velvet upholstery seat.
