Luxury Hotels Designs by Gilles & Boissier

Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier are opposites that attract. Joyfully engaged in constant, creative disagreement, they find inspiration: more, it’s precisely this ceaseless game of verbal and mental ping-pong that gives form to their ideas. Partners in life and in design, each one has a specific role and style, but together they form a unified whole as Gilles & Boissier, designing some of the best luxury hotels of the world.
If strict lines and a distinctive taste for fine woods can be attributed to Patrick Gilles, Dorothée, on her end, has a way with spatial fluidity, colors, and intuitive elegance. It is this distinctive approach that has paved their road to success, with commissions all over the world. Since 2004, they have designed a variety of design projects from residential to hospitality projects, luxury hotels, and lifestyle restaurants. Yet, it is the constant refinement of their clients that has pushed them into designing wild Moncler stores for Remo Ruffini, along with site his latest residence on Lake Como, Italy. Presently working on some of the best hotels in the world like Ritz Carlton in New York or Mandarin OrientalGilles & Boissier thrive in translating local cultures. masquespacio Masquespacio In An Exclusive Interview For Coveted Magazine banner blogs top 100 cañete Jorge Cañete In An Exclusive Interview For Coveted Magazine banner blogs top 100 PTang Studio PTang Studio Ltd In An Exclusive Interview For Coveted Magazine banner blogs top 100 For over a decade, Gilles & Boissier‘s every project has revealed an opportunity to invent something new, to design bespoke furniture and lights. Mandarin Oriental Spa – Marrakech

A mod-meets-medina resort set among olive groves, reflecting pools, and a profusion of roses, the new Mandarin Oriental, Marrakech combines the Moroccan city’s picturesque charm with a crisp cosmopolitan look. Parisian architect Pascal Desprez conceived the 50-acre property, while the firm Gilles & Boissier dressed the interiors with handwoven rugs, latticework accents, and walls stippled in tadelakt plasterwork. Amenities include three restaurants, a spa with hammams, and access to three local golf courses.

Baccarat Hotel – New York

French design team Gilles & Boissier devise a chic setting with luxe materials that include Baccarat’s crystal chandeliers and glassware. The otherworldly interiors within the Baccarat realm were both imagined and realized by Gilles & Boissier. The acclaimed Paris-based design duo lavished their attention on its soaring salons and 114 rooms and suites, each accented with Baccarat crystal and the fiery crimson shade of Baccarat red.

The hotel’s modern, vibrantly eccentric social spaces are anchored by luxe elements—pleated silk walls, a rug printed in a crystal glass pattern, a monumental white marble table. New York design masters Tony Ingrao and Stephen Sills, respectively, oversaw the aesthetics of Baccarat’s 60 magnificent residences.

The Chess Hotel – Paris

Beautifully colored clay, mustard hues and three shades of blue. The Chess Hotel offers a distinct and original color scheme. It changes subtly from one element to another and forms the setting for furniture of exceptional design quality. The furniture designs originating from the Gilles and Boissier collection naturally occupy a prominent place. Within the guest rooms can be found some of their most inspired creations; suspensions, chairs … and even four-poster beds in some of our Deluxe accommodation. The luxury hotel also has outstanding ornamental details. Thus, the checkerboard design that adorns the lobby floor and reflects the name of the establishment is mirrored in miniature upon the walls of the bathrooms. On the doors of these, we find the graphic designs of the artist Cyprien Chabert, who also created the monumental mural that runs from the second floor to the roof of the hotel. Even then, art lovers will not have finished marveling, as a detour to the lobby will demonstrate.
