Paris Design Week is fast becoming the definitive cultural counterpoint that is raising the bar for design weeks and design events across the world. Overlapping the Maison et Objet Paris September show and uniting the French and an increasingly international design community, the Paris Design Week city becomes immersed in promenades, cocktails, exhibitions, culminating into the celebration of existing and emerging modern art talents at every single corner.

From the days 5-14 of September 2019, the city of lights celebrates an extension of M&O in the heart of Paris. During Paris Design Week, professionals and lifestyle lovers alike love to rediscover the city through the prism of style and innovation.

2019’S THEME

You’d better watch out, Paris Design Week’s 2019 theme is sure to metamorphose you!

“HYBRID” is a theme whose ability to combine many different elements is an incredible source of inspiration and new experiences. It provides a prism through which you can observe objects, furniture, and spaces and act to influence them as part of a quest for versatility.

Maison & Objet

Paris Design Week is an itinerary uniting 250 participants that all proudly promote first-rate design in Paris. At a time when new contemporary art collections are popping up in stores and the new concepts for the autumn season are being launched, the event brings together the talents and forces of retailers, galleries, showrooms, hotels, and restaurants for eight days to share their experience in design and creation with the public.

For many years, many of the best furniture brands such as Boca do Lobo mark their presence in what is considered to be one of the biggest tradeshows of the world. 2019 couldn’t be any different, and after the January edition, Boca do Lobo in partnership with Covet House will bring to Paris its exclusiveness.

LE OFF Exhibition

This year, the exhibition Le Off changes the location and will be held in the Marais, Vertbois district from Tuesday, September 4 and ends on Sunday, September 8, 2019.

A Tribute to The USA

After editions that focused on the creative scenes of the United Kingdom, Italy, Lebanon and China, at this years’ edition of Paris Design Week, an eminent jury will take a close look at the US design scene with six promising designers (individuals or companies) selected by seven USA-based personalities: Rafael de Cárdenas, Odile Hainaut, Claire Pijoulat, Jerry Helling, Rosanne Sommerson, Nasir Kassamali and David Rockwell.
