Homo Faber 2024: The Journey of Life will be a remarkable event that will take place from September 1 to 30, 2024, in Venice, at the prestigious Fondazione Giorgio Cini, located on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore. This third edition of the biennale will celebrate the skill and talent of contemporary artisans, offering visitors an immersive experience that explores the defining moments of human life through the lens of craftsmanship.

Visitors will be guided on a symbolic journey through life, exploring universal themes such as childhood, romance, dreams, and travel, with each stage represented by objects handmade by talented artisans. Under the artistic direction of famous filmmaker Luca Guadagnino and architect Nicolò Rosmarini, the exhibition takes visitors on an immersive journey representing various stages of human life, narrated through handmade works by artisans worldwide. The theme of the exhibition, conceived by Hanneli Rupert, emphasizes stages such as childhood, love, dreams, and travel, all portrayed through exceptional objects made with innovative techniques.
In addition to the exhibitions, Homo Faber 2024 will include personalized experiences combining crafts, gastronomy and entertainment, which can be booked in advance. The Homo Faber in Città program will take visitors to explore up to 70 Venetian ateliers, providing a new way to discover the city and its rich artisan heritage. This program is organized in partnership with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte, with the support of Cartier and other local institutions.
