During Milan Design Week 2025, two titans of Italian luxury—Loro Piana and Dimoremilano—joined forces for the first time to present a mesmerizing, immersive installation titled La Prima Notte di Quiete. The project fused high-end interior design with cinematic storytelling, transporting visitors into a multi-sensory world where vintage aesthetics, tactile luxury, and artistic imagination converged.

A Journey Through Time and Texture
Set inside a fully furnished and decorated apartment, the installation began in a retro-style cinema foyer draped in dark red velvet, leopard-print carpet, and brass accents. This nostalgic ambiance set the stage for a design journey through an intimate home that seamlessly blended 1970s and 1980s influences with contemporary elegance.
From the dining room to the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and even a small garden, each space was designed to evoke a quiet escape from the outside world. Warm earthy tones and natural materials—cashmere, wool, velvet, and sisal—wrapped the interiors in softness and serenity, exemplifying the signature refinement of Loro Piana Interiors.

A Curated Mix of Icons and New Creations
The home was filled with a curated blend of new and iconic furnishings. Highlights included the sculptural Valsesia dining table, plush Quarona poufs, Locarno gallery-style cabinets, and the elegant Varallo bed. Classic Dimoremilano pieces like the Snooker and Corner sofas were reimagined in luxurious Loro Piana fabrics, adding a layer of tactile sophistication to the immersive environment.
Sensory Immersion with a Cinematic Twist
What made this installation unforgettable was the attention to atmosphere. Nicola Guiducci’s sound design added emotional depth, weaving ambient sounds—soft piano keys, gentle rain, and distant phone rings—into each room. The result was a poetic, dreamlike home that felt lived-in, cinematic, and emotionally resonant.
An Intimate Vision of Italian Luxury Design
La Prima Notte di Quiete wasn’t just an exhibit—it was a story told through interiors. It captured the essence of Italian luxury design, where craftsmanship, emotion, and materiality meet. Through this collaboration, Dimoremilano and Loro Piana Interiors created more than a space—they created a feeling.
